Unit Plan – 9º Ano Matutino / 9º Ano Vespertino


Theme: Did Anybody Watch the News?

Contents:

· Body Language

· Compounds of some, any and no

· Verb Tenses (review)

Objectives:

· To amplify the vocabulary related to body language/ emotions/feelings.

· To ask and answer questions using the compounds of some, any and no: someone, anybody, nothing

· To master the use of the verb tenses already learned: Simple Present, Present Continuous, Simple Past (regular and irregular verbs), Simple Future (will), and Immediate Future (going to).

§ Ice Breaker: The Names’ Chain

§ Explanation: Methodology, book, evaluations, etc.

§ Remember some useful expressions in English, e.g., “How do I say ____ in English”, How do you spell _____?”, “Can you repeat, please?”, “May I go to the restroom?”, etc.

§ Video: Watch a scene from the tv series “Lie to Me”, and debate it
